Article by K Cummings

In Australia, horse racing tracks are measured in terms of speed. The drier and firmer the track, the faster that horses can run. These measurements range from Fast, Good and Dead and then Slow to Heavy. They are now also measured on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is dry and hard, to 10 which are very muddy. For example, you will see track ratings of Good 3 for example, meaning that the track is in good condition, but may have a heavy cover of grass making it a little softer for horses to gallop on. Dry tracks are considered to be rated from Fast to Good, while Wet tracks are noted as Dead, Slow or Heavy.

Often track ratings will include a penetrometer reading. The penetrometer is an instrument that measures how firm the track is, and readings are taken at a range of points around the circuit to see how consistent the track is. A race track can cover a large amount of ground, and different conditions can exist in different areas of the track. Ratings are averaged over the number of readings taken.

These ratings are used on grass tracks, but we are also seeing the advent of all weather tracks, in addition to the dirt tracks that are used in some countries in Australia. All weather tracks are artificial surfaces that are becoming more popular as they reduce the need for watering in many instances.

As you can imagine, the surface that a horse races on can make a big difference. Horses also have a range of physical characteristics that can affect the way they run in different conditions on differemt tracks. Some horses have small hooves or feet, and these are often associated with horses bred to run on dirt tracks. Different galloping actions can also influence the way that a horse runs on different surfaces. Horses can be seen to lift their knees very high when they run, and sometimes this can help them on heavy tracks.

With horses though, no single factor can be definitive in the end result of a race. However, as some of these characteristics can be hereditary, it is often a good idea to see how the progeny of certain stallions go under various track conditions. Most good form guides will tell of a horse’s previous runs on differing track conditions.

While this can be a very good guide to their chance of handling the track today, it definitely does not take into account differences in weight, barrier, jockey, quality of the race, distance or any of the other variables that need to be considered when wagering pm a race.

In this video, Betty and her husband, Rick, go to Keeneland Horse Race track in Lexington, Kentucky, about 30 miles from our home. There are four restaurants at Keeneland, three of which are open to the public. We obtained a reservation to the Equestrian Room, which has a very nice atmosphere for watching the horse races. It also has very good food! We had a wide variety of foods to choose from for our lunch. Rick settled on a cup of burgoo soup and a reuben sandwich with potato salad. I ordered the chicken salad, which was served with green and purple lettuce leaves, nestled in a ring of fresh fruit, including strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and grapes. All of the food was delicious! We had a great time betting on the horses. We placed small bets on three of the races, and picked the winner in all three races. We threw in one small bet on a long shot (81:1), and lost on that horse, decreasing our winnings a bit. Altogether, we came out ahead about .00. Its a good thing we didnt plan to make money on our bets—just have a little fun! All in all, the day was a lot of fun, and we were able to show you a little bit of the race track atmosphere, a look behind the scenes, and some terrific food. I will choose one of the items from the Keeneland menu, and prepare it according to Keenelands recipe, and upload it in the next few days!

Article by Chris Malcolm

There are few enjoyable activities associated with gambling these days. While many people vacation in hot spots to enjoy the gaming lifestyle, a lot of eager fans are missing out on something that is found in their own back yard. It is as easy as going to your local Horse Racing Tracks. That’s right, in a lot of urban dwellings and bigger metropolis’s there are tracks readily available for fans of equestrian racing and gamers a like to enjoy. These tracks feature all the innovations of big sprawled out casinos and the luxury boxes of high end professional sports. Whether you are in the lower class income bracket or upwards into the high class income earnings, there is no doubt that you can enjoy the vast array of entertainment options available to you with horse racing in your local community.

Many people don’t even realize that they have Horse Racing Tracks in their city. I know that there are several tracks in communities around downtown areas that are mired with public opinion. A negative public opinion is not necessarily a bad thing, but it seems that no matter what investors and property owners do to trump public opinion about horse racing, there are still people that don’t like the sport. It’s ridiculous, considering that horse racing has made some major strides in the way the horses and the riders are treated. There is no need to stereotype these places, as they are offering a lot of good things to the community as a whole. That’s right, good can come of these locations, including tax revenue, concession jobs, and other great opportunities for those that are open minded in general.

There are a few sure fire ways to learn how to predict the right horse to win at these tracks. But the majority of Horse Racing Tracks aren’t full of people winning, and it is most likely because due in large part to considerable ideas of hunches and more. Sure you can rely on your hunches or try to read the publications that are available at the local tracks, but you’re not going to get anywhere in the world of professional horse racing. It’s an interesting thing to note that many people can make money if a little research is done. That’s right, a little research can go a long way on the Horse Racing Tracks. There are methods to a lot of different things, and if you play the odds you might find yourself moving up in the income bracket within a day of racing. However, there are considerable risks to consider.

Weigh the options before you strand yourself at the races. There is a method to everything and if you use your head, you can make a lot of money. However, one key component to trying to predict the right horse to win is largely a matter of picking the right Horse Racing Tracks. Some tracks create opportunity and it is easy to predict the winner if you see a few races.

Article by Jeff R. Lamb

Horse racing continues to be a popular activity among many adults in North America, as thousands of races a year take place all over the continent. As millions of people continue to go to the race track, though many of whom now watch races online, alternative advertising in horse racing is becoming an important and viable option for your company.

Why Should You Choose Horse Race Track Advertising?

Out-of-home advertising with horse race track digital screens allows your brand to be given a built-in audience that will be fixated on what you are selling. Engaging an audience with this form of alternative media becomes easy when everyone at the track is looking at the screens for race action, results, and upcoming race information. The audience that you are reaching literally spends hours looking at the digital screens on which your OOH advertising will be featured.

Because of the guarantee of an audience and the amount of time that will be spent viewing horse race track digital screens, this form of alternative advertising is easy to both measure and integrate. That way, you will know exactly what kind of influence your product is having on the audience.

What Kind of Audience Will You Be Reaching with Horse Race Track Advertising?

Horse race track media enjoys the benefits of a very loyal audience, as fans of horse racing continue to come back again and again, whether it is online or at the actual racing site. High-income adults with the money to bet on races make up a strong percentage of the audience that you will be reaching, making horse race track media a viable option for your product.

Even with the loyal audience that your advertisements on horse race track digital screens will be reaching, your advertising is also guaranteed to be seen by a new and unique audience every single day. Unlike many other forms of advertising, this OOH advertising accomplishes those two very important goals: reaching a wide audience while at the same time ensuring the accuracy of the audience itself.

Where to Find Horse Race Track Digital Screen Advertising Opportunities

An alternative media company that specializes in the implementation and use of out-of-home advertising strategies can help your product be seen on horse race track digital screens. Horse race track media is a popular market to tap, so consulting with an alternative media company will help you develop the perfect strategy for your product and ultimately track the success of your OOH advertising.

Investing the money in horse race track advertising on digital screens is easy to plan, buy, and execute, making this an important option if you’d like to see your product reach a wide, loyal audience through alternative advertising. If you are looking to expand your product through alternative advertising and still reach a wide audience, horse race track digital screens are the perfect solution.

Many punters use one system or the other for horse race betting. Many of these systems can be found for sale online, all with glamorous sales pitches with zero to millions promises. How many times have you checked your emails and seen mails with subjects like these?

“Free XYZ system that made 7,569 in one year”

“How ABC system turned former truck driver to instant millionaire…”

Money is something that every human being wants to have in abundance, and the allure of making money without having to work too much for it is what these systems horse racing scammers have used to ensnare people like betting flies to the scammers’ naked flames.

Perhaps you may have bought and used many of these betting systems. I have, and I can tell you that many of these systems are bloodsuckers. They suck all your money, and give nothing in return but tears. If you are like me (and I am sure there are tens of thousands the world over with similar experiences), you would have found out that many of these systems are nothing but elaborate scams.

The funny thing is that these systems horse racing scams are thriving, largely due to the fact that more and more otherwise rational men and women cannot resist these salacious headlines and continue to dole out money in the quest for horse race betting’s Golden Fleece.

If you are tired of being ripped off ceaselessly by these bloodsuckers, some of these tips below can help you avoid paying for the expensive lifestyles these scammers live.

If something is too good to be true, it almost certainly is. As much as many of us would like to believe that someone may have stumbled onto a miracle solution, the reality of this is that this is just not the case in the world of systems horse racing. Even the best of systems are unlikely to deliver more than 20% returns on investment at a time, even with the best application. Any system that promises you more, especially those triple digit promises, are just plain scams.

Look at the webpage and see if there is a physical address. How long has the company offering a system been in business? Are there genuine reviews about them anywhere online (I am not talking of some fake reviews which some of them pay people to do for them)? Many genuine system horse racing companies will allow you a free trial to see if the claims and the results you get match up. A scam company will be too scared to let you try out their system, which they know doesn’t work anyway.

These two steps alone will help you weed out majority of system horse racing scam companies. You can also check a lot of good review sites online to get information from veteran punters who have tested these systems horse racing. Furthermore, punters have to learn that it is correct application of good money management in betting (aiming for smaller returns that add up over time) that actually makes for success rather than over-reliance on a magic bullet system.

Article by Online Horse RacingJohn weston

Typically it’s onerous to see the forest for the trees. This is very true with horse racing. Horse racing is likely one of the oldest sports in t he world. Additionally it is inexplicably associated with gambling.

Horse racing is held in almost each nation on the planet and in 2008 generated a world-broad market value round US$ one hundred fifteen billion. I don’t find out about you but I wouldn’t mind having a bit of little bit of that. As a way to even stand an opportunity it’s good to discover ways to guess on horses and what sorts of races you would like to guess on.

There are three several types of horse racing: Flat racing; steeplechasing; and harness racing. The most well-liked of the three could be flat racing.

When you find yourself betting on horses you do must learn a number of new terms in order to place bets and perceive what your betting on. Listed below are a few of the phrases:

Win

That is just what it sounds like. You are betting on a horse to come back in first. You solely win if the horse you choose wins the race.

Place

A place wager is when you’re wagering on a horse to put both first or second.

Present

A present guess is if you find yourself wagering on a horse to place first, second or third.

Quinella

With this wager you might be selecting the horse that finishes first and second. It wont matter what order they come in first or second as long the horses you decide place first and second place.

Exacta

The exacta is much like the quinilla, the only difference is you have to say which horse will are available first and which one will are available in second.

Superfecta

You have to decide the first four ending horses within the order that they finish.

These are just a few of the common betting phrases that you will run into. Understand that the extra actual you might be with your bets the better the payout will be. For example betting on a win will not pay almost as excessive as a superfecta.

These are all issues that you will be taught in time. The half that you want to focus on is learning which horses will win and which ones wont. In a way this turns into very similar to finding out stocks. You want to take a look at the horses parents and see how strong they were. You additionally need to look at the owner, the ability that the horse was skilled at and of course its report as much as this point. All of this information must be taken into account if you find yourself placing a guess on a horse race.

This can turn into very overwhelming and time consuming. That’s why there are software packages that are ready that will help you slender down which horses are value your time and which of them aren’t. Similar to anything else some packages are higher than others so be careful.

Do you need to discover out what the world’s most popular betting strategy is?

Discover the world’s most professional and successful software immediately!

Article by John Anthony

The ideal horse racing tip comes from those who have actually been there and played it. Simply put, these are the people who have bet on horse racing for a prolonged time period and have tried all the possibilities concerned with this game.

These same people also agree to the following horse racing tips as the ones that provide them with more vivid chances of winning the game rather than losing.

Here are some such kind of horse racing tips

1. Have a good look at the horses that are indulged in the race.

Frequently people make the mistake of concentrating solely on the horse that they are betting on, while ignoring the others. It is not wrong to play favourites since you are putting your money on them. What is wrong is that you are not looking at the potential that might be in other horses.

2. Watch as many horse racing events as possible.

Scrutinizing as many racing events as possible will prepare you for the real thing where there is real money involved. As a beginner, you will get a lot of pointers by being an onlooker first.

By observing races, you will get enough knowledge about how the race is run and how the horses are performing. By the time you are ready to bet on a horse, you will have an idea about some of the factors that will have an effect on the outcome of the race.

3. Choose the better class horse.

No matter how you look at it, the best class will always have the potential of winning.
Horse racing is about the horse that is trained and conditioned to win different races.
It is always advisable to check out which horse is of better class. You can tell this by the form and the easy and expert way the horse is moving about in the racetrack.

4. Think just like a bookmaker.

A bookmaker is one that compiles all the required information to serve as a basis later on. They make their own forecast based on events and other factors that will prove relevant in the outcome of the race.

Read as much as possible about horse racing. Some very useful information is available on television, magazines and newspapers. Examine what these things are saying and look for ways how they will work in your favor.

5. Past horse race history.

Be on the lookout for horses that have gained abrupt shift in the way they are performing. There may be those who have lost and started winning from then on.
These are the ones that are worth betting on.

Disregard past racing history and take into account the way the horse’s present perfomance. If there are a
sequence of wins in its name, then that is a horse that will be worth taking into consideration if you are after the best value out of the bet you will place.

The History of Horse Racing in the United Kingdom

The ancient world of the Greeks began todays horse racing sport. Then, the Romans became obsessed with this horse racing sport, and like many other events in the history raised it to the next level. To help horse racing gain natural popularity the Greeks back in history incorporated this great game in the Olympics.

The importation of Arabian stallions into the United Kingdom during and after the Crusades began the origin of the game of horse racing in England. The combination of Middle Eastern stock and the European breeding led to the emergence of a swift runner with a steady build of horses.

The nobles and royal families in the course of Europe’s horse racing history where this sport was dedicated primarily to them. The commoners served as only spectators at this game.

As history states, Charles II and Queen Anne was so obsessed with horse racing that they had private and public horse racing competitions held through their own initiatives.

The development of various horse racing arenas throughout the land was much later in Europe. Although, professional horse racing started during the 16th century with the establishment of the great classics.

Europe had established the first governing body for horse racing and accomplished various things concerning horse racing before America has got its American Jockey Club.

The movement initiated by the elite of horse racing established the Jockey Club of England, and became the overseer of racetracks, races, standards for horse breeds, and event rules and regulations. During the 1750s they formalized the sport as we know of horse racing today. The early determination of breeding lines of the horses was the result by the Jockey Club. An official of the Jockey Club, James Weather was the first to distinguish the founding sires of the stallions, Thoroughbreds is what we call them today.

Throughout the development of horse racing, various types were formed, and are referred to as the classics. Some of most popular classics are St. Leger that was founded during 1776, the Oaks which was founded three years later, the Derby was produced the following year, 2,000 Guineas in 1809 and 1000 Guineas that was created five years later.

With the formation of the Jockey Club all these and other events were created through the Jockey Club.

St. Leger, a former Irish soldier Lieutenant Colonel Anthony St Leger founded the St. Leger, and on September 24, 1776, the very first event under this category was held. Among the English Classics it had the longest distance but was canceled during the Civil War.

The Derby, during 1779 Edward Smith Stanley who was the Earl of Derby and devised this horse racing event who intended to race only among his friends over 1 ½ miles. The race has become successful that the following year saw the second race of its kind, and was named after his estate, Oaks.

These are only two of the most famous English Classics. Central to all these is that despite the presence of horse racing among other cultures, Europe is still credited for being the proponent for the 1st formal exhibition of horse racing.

The Arab horse pedigree were imported and bred with the English mare to produce offspring that were a powerful combination of strength, speed, endurance and agility. Gambling on racing horses became the favorite leisure activity of the aristocracy. With time, the popularity of the game spread to US as well as other parts of Europe.

During the 1700s, horse racing gained the status of a professional sport which led to the founding of Jockey Club. It is an authoritative body that was formed in 1750 and governs English racing even today. It laid down the rules of race horse breeding as well as standards that defined the quality of horse racing. This resulted in the designation of particular horse races that are recognized as the ultimate tests of excellence till date.

Article by John Antony

Since betting on horses has started, people get horse racing tips or information from a variety of sources such as newspapers, booklets, and internet. For being on the track, some people are even willing to pay.

During the pre-internet and mobile days, some booklets like Fineform were immensely advertised in the racing newspapers. The system that it promoted was simple to use and bets could be found quickly.

Frequently, wagers used to combine selections in multiple bets, using a low stake possible high return strategy based on the tips for horse racing that they got. Mainly they would lose a little money. Seldom all selections would win, equivalent of a weeks wages that day. In those days UK betting tax was 9-10% off course or in a bookmaker, and zero on course or at the racetrack. The idea was to persuade people to go horse racing. The legendary qualified gamblers were contended if they got 10% of their investment. For example, staking £50,000 and getting a return of £55,000 in a year or a £5,000 profit made them bet exclusively at the track.

With advancement, some punters started realizing that there was a scope to earn some money by subscribing for a tipster for the tips for horse racing. But it was extremely hard to do so, for one had to find a public phone box and ring the special phone number to see if there were any selections. Primarily this consisted of listening to the tipster ramble on about a great horse racing tip that was following. Colors where given in replace of horses’ name for security reasons. Checking this against the race cards that they supplied would reveal the selection. Mostly they lost abundance of stake money as well as paying some pounds for the horse racing tips. Some tried a few other horse racing tipsters, ranging from “weekend information” to telephone tipsters who advertised on teletext.

There are tipsters out there who are worth registering to, but some of them advertise incredible results only to find out that we are disappointed.

One time I had a friend who was also a horse racing fan like me. We clubbed together subscribed to a £149.99 per month tipster to get these horse racing tips again. We did take a three hour trip to the race track one day, to back a particular horse that the horse racing tipster owned. The horse had run earlier in the week, but the tipster had issued instructions not to back it till just before “the off”. Several people ignored his tip on that horse racing, and lumped on at the tasty 20/1 on offer. Soon the odds tumbled, all the way down to 3/1. As the race started, it looked to me as if the jockey was making every attempt to hold the horse back; in any case it was unplaced.

On the phone in, he told us that it had not won due to ignorance of his horse racing tips, but that it would run its real race in a few days time. So we went to the track to try and get the best odds available. To our surprise, instead of the 20/1 we expected, the horse opened at 15/8. We placed our bets and settled back to watch the race. The horse came last. We cancelled our subscription.

Back in the days I have won over £4,000 in a weekend from one particular horse racing tipster selections. In the long run though, he was not profitable. So I looked and yet searching for another horse racing tipster that would supply me the horse racing tips at least on the level of the Sure2Profit ones. Lately I only use the horse racing tips I share with the members on the http://www.sure2profit.com website and we are all very quite happy with the outcome!
